Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is GRE?
The GRE, or Graduate Record Examination is a standardized test commonly required for admission into graduate and business school programs worldwide.

The GRE assesses verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills.

Individuals aspiring to pursue graduate or business school programs, such as master’s or doctoral degrees, often take the GRE.

The GRE consists of three main sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. There is also an optional Research section.

The GRE takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete, including breaks. The Analytical Writing section is always the first, followed by the Verbal and Quantitative sections.

The Verbal and Quantitative sections are scored on a scale of 130-170, and the Analytical Writing section is scored on a scale of 0-6. The total GRE score is the sum of the Verbal and Quantitative scores.

You can take the GRE once every 21 days, up to five times within a continuous rolling 12-month period.
